TGS Swimming Supporters’ Group Newsletter

6 March 2019

Good morning parents of our 2019 Toowoomba Grammar School GPS Swim Team.

This morning we held our final team training session incorporating a session with Sports Psychiatrist, Mrs Faye Youens, and sharing a BBQ breakfast.

This evening we have our team dinner and presentation leading onto an exciting and memorable day for the team on Friday.

On Friday, the boys are to arrive at school as per normal time, however they have no classes for the day.  2019 GPS Team photo will be taken in the morning followed by bonding game of cricket at the school after which the team will assemble for our school war cry and then walk the promenade where the whole senior school will gather and cheer them on.
They will travel by bus to Chandler where lunch will be provided for them on arrival.
Race warm up will commence from 2pm with racing commencing at 3pm.  The event will conclude at 6pm approximately.

Parents and supporters are very welcome to attend this meet.  Tickets are required for entry and information on this can be obtained on our Sports and Activities website.

We wish our team members every success on Friday and congratulate them on their commitment to school and the sport of swimming.

DATE CLAIMER:  Sunday, 10 May 2019

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask for your support with our Wine Appreciation Night 2019 to be held on 10 May.

The Toowoomba Grammar School WINE APPRECIATION NIGHT is an annual event showcasing some outstanding Australian, New Zealand and French wines whilst enjoying a fantastic social night out.

It is also the only major fundraiser for the Toowoomba Grammar School GPS Swim Team with funds raised used to assist the members of this swim team in their endeavors.  We need your support.

Please put the date in your calendar and come along with friends for an enjoyable evening.  We will have multi-draw raffles on the night also and will be asking for donations towards these closer to the date.

Your support of this event would be much appreciated.

Kind regards
