DD 13 – 19 Years Schools Track & Field Championships nominations have now opened.


Should you wish to attend these trials, Please complete and return the attached to the Sport & Activities Office by Friday, 16 August no later than 4.00pm.

  • Medical/Permission Form – All Events
  • Activity Consent Form – High Jump, Discus, Javelin, Hammer & Pole Vault Only
  • Competency Certificate – Hammer & Pole Vault Only
  • Special Nomination – Pole Vault & Steeplechase Only

Applications to attend will be subject to acceptance by the School based on skill set and experience. Maximum 4 students per school, per event.

  • Hammer throw only- O’Quinn Street, Toowoomba.
  • 3000m/ 5000m only- The Glennie School, Toowoomba
  • 17-19 Years ONLY- High Jump- Centenary Heights SHS


  • Field events only- O’Quinn Street Oval, Toowoomba


  • Track events only– The Glennie School, Toowoomba.
TIME: Wednesday– Commence at 3.15pm – 4.30pm

Thursday– Commence 8.30am – 4.45pm

Friday- Commence 8.30am – 4.40pm

DEPART All departures and arrivals are from Margaret Street bus loop.

Wednesday– Taxi arranged for 2.30pm (Boarders only)

Thursday– meet 7.15am for 7.30am departure

Friday- meet 7.15am for 7.30am departure

RETURN to TGS Wednesday– Taxi arranged for approximately 4.45pm 

Thursday– Approximately 4pm 

Friday- Approximately 5pm

  • TGS Tracksuits & appropriate footwear
  • All boys must have TGS sports hat.
  • All boys must have TGS Athletics singlet & shorts.
  • All competitors must wear our school number 401 on their singlet.  These will be handed to you on the day and must be returned after your event.
  • Dayboys, please advise the Mrs Gallagher or Ms Connelly if you intend going to and from the competition with parents.
  • Sunscreen is to be regularly applied.
  • Day boys bring own lunch.
  • Boarders will receive packed lunches.
  • Please take fruit and a drink bottle with you.
