GPS Track and Field Championship 2019

Well done on the recent achievements of our Track & Field Athletes at the recent GPS Track & Field Championship. Mr Owen, Mr Smith, Michael, Ory, Ellie, Dan, Justin, Ireland and Mrs Gallagher are proud of each athlete and their contribution to the team’s results.

First place:

  • Harry Callow 100m Open
  • Jai Gordon 200m 16 years
  • Nick Coonan 800m 16 years
  • Pat Mckay triple jump Open (TRACK & FIELD CAPTAIN)
  • Wihan Kruger javelin 14 years
  • Angus Davey javelin Open (TRACK & FIELD VICE-CAPTAIN)
  • Michael Evans, Harry Callow, Kai Rahui & Pat McKay 4 x 100m Open

2nd place:

  • Archie Steele javelin 16 years
  • Ewald Kruger javelin 13 years
  • Archie Steele shot put 16 years
  • Wihan Kruger shot put 14 years
  • Angus Storie discus 16 years
  • Wihan Kruger discus 14 years

Out of 67 events, TGS had 25 top four performances.

Archie Steele accrued the most points for TGS with a total of 30 POINTS! Archie placed 3rd in the 110m hurdles, 3rd in the high jump, 2nd in the shot put and 2nd in the javelin!

Wihan Kruger accrued the second most points for TGS with a total of 26.25! Wihan came 1st in the javelin, 2nd in the shot put and discus. He was also a member of the 4 x100m team.

Total of 65 boys in 2019 Team.
