Orienteering including OQ Weekly Bulletin – 5 February 2020
If orienteering is cancelled on Sunday due to thunderstorms (see below), I’ll email you Sunday morning and let you know.
It was so great to see many of you in Queens Park on Sunday – well done to Ollie, Gabe, Byron, Aidan, Eli, Cas, Flynn and Dann . Orienteering is fun, isn’t it? Also great to see Ollie at the workshop. As our most experienced orienteer, I would like Ollie to be our captain again this year. Are you okay with that, Ollie?
Our next event is at USQ on Sunday. I think the Year 7 boys may have an event on at school that they need to attend but other year levels, hope to see you there. I will be on the registration table so be sure to see me after your race so we can discuss your challenges and triumphs.
Details for USQ are online https://oq.orienteering.asn.au/events/9651 and below. If you can, register online through Eventor. Also below is this weeks bulletin from Orienteering Queensland. If you scroll down, there is information on the Night Nav Series that began on Tuesday evening. A few boys have been asking me about Night Nav. They are loads of fun but we do not allow anyone under 15 years to run night nav on their own. You would need a partner.
