Cricket – Round 2 wrap

Dear Cricket Community,

Round 2 only saw one game of Cricket played due to the much needed rain! The match played was our 1st XI fixture on Ron Oxenham Oval at Tennyson against Gregory Terrace. Winning the toss, captain Dan Brown sent GT in to bat which paid dividends. From the outset GT were on the back-foot and could only manage 103 before being bundled out in tough batting conditions. TGS in reply passed the total 6 wickets down. For the full match report, click here.

This weekend our 1st XI side take on Downlands College in the annual Tom Allen Trophy, while ‘A’ sides from Year 7 up will take on Ambrose Treacy College at home. The rest of our program will enjoy the ‘BYE’ round.

In and around the wet, it is important, where possible, that we continue to hit, bowl and catch plenty of balls.

Enjoy the rain!

Yours in Cricket,

Ben Schuhmacher
