Cricket – Round 6 wrap

Dear Cricket Community,

Saturday, 7 March saw our 1st XI and Year 7, 9 and 11 teams make the bus trip north to Brisbane to take on Nudgee College in what was our annual Pink Stumps Round. Pink boundary lines, pink stumps, pink balls and plenty of pink zinc were on show as both schools aimed to raise $1000 for the McGrath Foundation. For those still wanting to donate to this fantastic cause, click here.

The TGS 1st XI were defeated by 23 runs in a contest which had many swings and roundabouts, while overall TGS had an 11 win, 9 loss return over Nudgee College.

After 6 rounds 7D, 8B, 8C and our 4th XI remain undefeated. Congratulations to players and coaches of these sides and best of luck for the final 3 rounds.

Individual highlights from Round 6 include:

Charles Lachmund (7A) – 3 for 11 off 4.2 overs and 27 runs

Campbell Gourley (8C) – 4 for 7 off 2 overs and 28 off 17 balls

Cooper Webster (8A) – 3 for 25 off 8 overs and 30 runs
