Cricket – Round 7 wrap

Dear Cricket Community,

Handshakes were exchanged for first pumps and verbal acknowledgements as honours were shared (9-9) in our Round 7 clash with Brisbane State High School.

It was our Year 9 cohort who stole the show, clean-sweeping BSHS 3 matches to 0. 9A were victorious against previously unbeaten opposition by 29 runs, while 9B won a cliff hanger by 2 wickets with 4 balls remaining and 9C were at their clinical best dismantling State High by 127 runs. Individually there were some excellent achievement across our 18 fixtures with BSHS. Please see below:

Will Slack-Smith (7A) – 69 off 52 not out

Connor Walker (8A) – 65 off 39 balls

Pat Savill (9B) – 3 for 6 off 4 overs and 26 off 22 balls

Fletcher Russell (9A) – 52 off 55 ball not out

Callum Galvin (10A) – 1 for 13 off 6 overs and 77 runs off 83 balls

George Wunsch (2nd XI) – 51 off 37 balls
