Nominations for Darling Downs Trials for the below sports are due to the Sports Office by COB Tuesday 2/03/21.
If you are interested in trialling for these sports and have not yet advised of your interest please complete the attached Regional Trail form form and forward to the Sports Office advising of which sport you are trialling for. Forms can be returned in person or via [email protected] for signature.
NOTE: Hockey and AFL also require the completion of a Mouthguard Consent Form. No form, no trial.
Please not these trials all incur a fee required to be paid directly to DD sport by Thursday 4/03/21. How to guide attached. No payment, no trial.
NRL RUGBY LEAGUE GALA DAY and DD TRIALS
Darling Downs Secondary Schoolboys Rugby League with the support of NRL Game Development would like to extend an invitation to your school to participate in a Rugby League Trials Day on Monday March 1, 2021.
WHEN: 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday 1 March 2021
WHERE: Brothers Rugby League Club, Hursley Road, Toowoomba
From this day squads will be selected in each age group to attend the DD trials on the 9th March
NOMINATION PROCESS: If you wish to nominate for the GALA DAY please complete the below forms and forward to the Sport and Activities Office in person or via email [email protected] by Thursday 18th March.
Ensure all players attending the GALA day bring their DD trial permission form, mouthguard form & mouthguard.
If successful at the Gala Day students will be eligible to participate in DD Trials on Tuesday 9 March.

Darling Downs 13-19 MENS HOCKEY TRIALS
The 2021 Regional 13-19 YEARS MENS HOCKEY Trials are to be held on Tuesday 9 March. Individuals can attend these trials as either players or umpires or both if they wish.
Date: Tuesday 9 March
Venue: Toowoomba Hockey Association Fields, Boundary Street, TOOWOOMBA
Time: 9.30am – 2.30pm
Ages: 19 years and under as of 31 December 2021
Nomination Fee: $22.00 per student. No money is to be paid at the trial.

2021 DDSSB Regional Trial Permission Form
MEDICAL/PERMISSION FORMS
All players must bring a completed DD Trial Permission Form & DD Mouthguard Form to the regional trial. NO FORMS means the student will be unable to trial on the day. No form & no mouthguard – NO TRIAL.
DARLING DOWNS TEAM: At the conclusion of the trials, a squad of fifteen (15) plus officials will be selected to contest the State Championships in Cairns from 22-25 May 2021. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS TRIAL UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND THIS COMPETITION.

The 2021 Regional SQUASH Trials are to be held on TUESDAY 9 MARCH.

TIME: 9.30am – 3.00pm
VENUE: James Street Squash Courts (one door up from the Cnr James & West Streets heading towards Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre)
AGE: 16-19 Years Boys & Girls (2005-2002)
10-15 Years Boys & Girls (2011- 2006)
FORMAT: Graded Draw. First to15 points with handouts.
REFEREES: Students will referee the game following their own
BALL: Double Dot for all age groups

2021 DDSSB Regional Trial Permission Form
POINTS TO NOTE:
- Selection for the Darling Downs team will be based on performance at the trials. Previous results and seeding from your information will be used to determine the Round Robin format.
- Ensure students can compete at a competitive level and are aware of rules and how to referee.
- Competition begins at 9.30am sharp, therefore students will need to have their names registered prior to 9.30am.
- Squash goggles are compulsory when playing matches. Goggles will be available for use at the venue.
DARLING DOWNS TEAM: At the conclusion of the trials, a squad of sixteen (16) will be selected to contest the State Championships in Brisbane 27-30 May.
Age Tennis Championships Open for Sign on
Toowoomba Grammar School has a proud tradition of encouraging students to engage with as many sport and activities pursuits as possible. Each school term students in Years 7 –12 have the opportunity to sign up for a variety of TGS organised activities.
The Age Tennis Championships will be conducted on three Sundays – 21 February, 28 February and 7 March 2021. Sign up is open until 17/02/21.

SPECTATORS: Following the Return to Play Checklist only 1 parent/carer per child will be allowed to attend to spectate. No other spectators/carers are allowed. All Spectators will be required to complete COVID tracing registration arrival
REGIONAL TEAM: A Darling Downs team will be selected to attend the State Titles at Sunshine Coast, April 29-2 May, 2021. Students must be available for the full duration of the championships if selected.

Time: 6:45am. Players are to arrive at least half an hour before the start of play. Two tee hit off.

Toowoomba Netball Association Club Sign-On – 28/02/2
The Toowoomba Netball Association will be hosting its’ Club Sign-On, Sunday the 28th of February from 9-11am.
The four main Clubs: Dominoes, Saints, Phoenix and Brothers will have representatives on site (at Nell E Robinson Park, opposite McDonalds on Ruthven street), should individuals have any questions with regards to registration, uniforms, costs etc.
All ages are welcome from 5 years to adults, including boys up to 15 years of age.
The TNA is a friendly and inclusive sporting body and we look forward to welcoming you all to Netball.
