Nominations have now opened for the DD Swimming Carnival.
Should you wish to nominate your son, please complete the following:

Parent Consent Form
Permission form to send results to Swimming Qld
Advise which event/s your son would like to compete in
Process nomination fee through DD Online Shop
Extra event form (If wanting to nominate for 400m/800m/1500m Free and 400m IM)
Please note the Qualifying standards when considering nominating for an event. Maximum 9 events per swimmer.
Maximum 4 TGS boys per event – Based on boys previous times, Swimming Head Coach, Mr Darren Stewart may decline nominations where necessary.
All completed documents must be returned to the Sport & Activities Office by Friday, 21 February 2020 no later than 12.00pm.

Date to be Held: Tuesday, 3 March 2020
Time: Warm Up from 8.30am
Venue: Lockyer Aquatic Centre, 136 Spencer Street, Gatton
Cost: $16.50 – Must be paid online prior to trials

Please Note: Successful swimmers will be invited to compete in the State Championships scheduled for March 26 – 28, 2020.
Dayboys & Boarders will be transported via bus to and from the event.

TGS is supportive of boys being able to access Toowoomba Secondary School Sport (TSSS) and Darling Downs School Sport (DD) representative pathways.

Congratulations to Isaac Cooper who recently competed at the State Teams Short Course Challenge. This is a National competition where swimmers are selected to represent their state. Isaac was selected in the QLD team after winning several medals at the QLD Short Course Championships. An invitational NZ team is also represented at the meet.
Isaac finished the meet with the following individual swims in the Mens 15yrs age group:
- 2nd 50m Backstroke (New QLD Short Course Record)
- 2nd 100m Backstroke
- 2nd 200m Backstroke
- 5th 50m Freestyle
- 5th 50m Butterfly
- 1st 8 x 50 Freestyle relay
- 2nd 4 x 100 Medley relay
- 3rd 4 x 100 freestyle relay
6am – 7am
BBQ breakfast provided afterwards
Boys need to wear their TGS togs, and goggles and swimming caps if they have them
These sessions provide a great opportunity for boys and their houses to prepare for the upcoming swimming carnival.

DD 13 – 17 Years Water Polo trial nominations have now opened.
Should you wish to attend these trials, Please complete and return the attached to the Sport & Activities Office by Monday, 7 October no later than 3.30pm.
Applications to attend are subject to acceptance by the School.
